Recent Work
College Bound Lately I've been doing an exciting project with the ad agency Paskill, Stapleton and Lord. They specialize in promoting colleges and universities, and I've been writing and drawing a custom comic strip for them that gently satirizes the issues these institutions commonly deal with. The strips both entertain current and potential clients and promote PS&L's services. I do two strips a month, which are sent out by email and posted on the agency's blog (you may have to scroll down a bit for the comics).Response has been tremendous and they've hired me for a full year. Here's some press.
If you have a business and are interested in custom comics that will increase your email response and drive people to your website, please contact me!
Hani and Rami
Here's a very cool project I recently did for Camp Ramah, which are the official camps of the Jewish Conservative Movement. I designed a couple of cartoon characters named Hani and Rami and drew a number of illustrations showing them in various camp situations. The illustrations have empty word balloons which the kids can fill in as part of their Hebrew language instruction(Hani and Rami only speak Hebrew). The only stipulation was that the characters wear those striped hats--when the counselors do the lessons, they'll wear similar hats and "channel" the characters!
Graphic DesignOccasionally I do some straight graphic design. Here's a book cover I designed for Rabbi Yaacov Kravitze's new book Pathways to Recover8. I'm not sure when it comes out, but it should be some time this summer. When it does, I'll put up a link to it.
